山東大學物理學院始建于1930年，是山東大學zui早的院系之一，時為山東大學物理系。目前學院下設3個系，物理系、應用物理系、微電子系。4個研究所，凝聚態(tài)物理研究所、粒子物理與原子核物理研究所、光電材料與器件研究所、原子分子物理研究所。設有專門負責實驗教學的物理實驗教學中心和負責基礎物理教學的大學物理教學研究中心。
